Who we are We are ordinary people who ride bicycles and share an interest in them. We live or work in western Sydney and know the local area. We are all levels of fitness and ride for a variety of reasons including transport, recreation, exercise or just for fun. We invite you to join us! WSCN is a non-profit community based Cycling Group, affiliated with Cycling NSW . We are governed by our Rules.
What we do We run regular social rides where you can meet friends, exercise and socialise.We manage a bicycle repair and recycling facility where donated bikes are refurbished and then loaned to members of the Fairfield community.
When and where we meet We meet on the last Wednesday of the month at 7.30pm in our Clubhouse. Please join us. Small working groups may meet more regularly to work on their projects. We have a dedicated club house based at Fairfield City Showground, Smithfield Road, PRAIRIEWOOD (enter off is Moonlight Road) Click here for Map .
What we aim to achieve - To promote cycling - To provide a bicycle recycling service to the community - To promote sustainability in the community Fairfield City Council supports the WSCN by providing the clubhouse and bicycle recycling facility. The shared goals of the WSCN and Council are health promotion, waste reduction and sustainable transport.

Other Activities Western Sydney Cycling Network (WSCN) members are accredited by the Australian Sports Commission under their Active After School Communities Program (AASC) to provide cycle skills training to Australian Primary Schools. WSCN members are at present providing training at Governor Philip King and Lansvale Public Schools one afternoon each week for seven weeks (program length) during the school term.
WSCN members are also accredited by by Cycling NSW to provide cycle skills training to any members of the public.
We have provided cycle Skills training at Liverpool Girls High School and in partnership with Sydney South Area Health Service (SSWAHS) have provided cycle skills training as part of their "Learn to Ride" and "Back on Your Bike" health initiative programs.
WSCN members have also, in partnership with SSWAHS conducted bicycle excursion rides for a number of local high schools and other community groups.
WSCN members have been trained and accredited by Bicycle NSW as Ride Leaders thus allowing the planning and leading of safe and controlled community rides.
